Sloan

image
Released: May 1998
Label: murderecords
Whether you view Sloan as a criminally ignored rock band, or an overrated cover group, there is no denying that this 1998 album is a power pop masterpiece. Everything you would expect is here; massive low end riffs, saturated choruses and enough hand claps and sing alongs to make anyone feel that they've been transported to a stadium show. It doesn't matter that Sloan don't have any original sound; only the most cantankerous of music snobs would refuse to dust off their air guitars for this one.
